| What
is
ShapetheFuture ?
Put
simply, Shapethefuture is a network
of people, just like you, who have the opportunity to influence
the type of products, services and environment around you.
|
| Oh
right. But how?
We work with the kind of companies that create
the products and services you use and who don’t always get
it right. Whether it’s that new mobile phone, car or even
utility service, we’re all frustrated with useless customer
service or poor interface design. Despite spending a great deal
of money (millions!), these companies make fatal flaws in the creation
of new products primarily because they don’t understand the
way we live our lives.
|
| Yeh. But how?
You’ve found us here because someone
out there cares what you think of the world you live in. Tell us
who you are and we’ll add you to our network. When a client
calls looking for an understanding of what “22 year old graduates
working in London need to help them live” or what “52-year
old civil engineers think of our new recycling service”, we’ll
look to our network for advice.
|
| Free advice? My
time is valuable.
Indeed. Which is why when they approach us,
we’ll ask them to give you something for your time –
whether it’s a telephone call, email survey or in-depth interview.
Cash (if they’re rich). The opportunity to shape the future
(if they’re not-for-profit).
|
| What do I get out
of it?
We recognise that money isn’t everything,
which is why when you join the network, we’ll connect you
(if you want) to other like-minded people. You can also have a good
old moan about your really frustrating customer experiences on our
‘Ahh! Useless’ rant-board.
|
|
So. What are you waiting
for? Give us your details (we’re obliged to obey the Data
Protection rules so you’ll be confidentially held on record)
and ShapetheFuture.
Oh. One more thing. It isn’t facebook. It
isn’t a blog. It’s a proper-serious attempt to influence
the designs of the future.
Without
you, nothing changes.
